Both Red and Blue already had the displeasure of meeting each other, Red has been causing trouble to the kingdom of Aznar for years with no way of fighting back other than the futile attempts of their knights which couldn't even get close. No one else in the kingdom was experienced with magic, let alone powerful enough to go face-to-face with the mage.
That was then, until Blue, a mage who had been exploring near kingdoms, wandered inside Aznar, he was confused to say the least, when he got looks of fear and confusion, it was as if people hadn't seen a mage before. Blue was quick to deduct there were little to no mages in this kingdom, and thought this would be the perfect chance to score a job.
And just a few months after, Blue became not only *the* mage in the kingdom, but one of Aznar's most important members, and after seeing how powerful he was, the king decided on giving him the dangerous yet important mission of fighting face to face with Red, the mage that had been terrorizing them without someone to stand in their way.
So and so, both mages fought, Red had not been in a proper fight in ages, he couldn't go and raise his wand to make the enemy cower away in fear of being incinerated.
Blue was a tough foe, he could not only dodge most of Red attacks but actually fight back.
and for the first time, Red was defeated, Blue's victory deemed him a vital part of the kingdom now. but since Red was still alive, this wasn't the only fight they would have.
Red was a really persistent guy and kept trying to attack the kingdom on repeated occasions, even scoring some times Blue wasn't available. This caused the two of them to battle often, large intense fights that could last hours, both equal in magic power, only being able to win by mere luck.
Both were really used to the battles at this point, almost borderline memorizing the others strategies and preferred spells, even down to their weak points, which would make the next battle their best one to date.
On what looked to be a normal afternoon, near to the sunset, a Red mage walked across the forest, he was walking fast and looking straight to the front, as if he were on a mission. Mission that would be soon interrupted by the voice of another mage, a Blue one, he called out the name of the mage and stood firmly, ready to fight.
Reds neck snapped towards the direction of the voice and mumbled something to himself before quickly aiming his wand at the other and shooting a fire projectile, Blue already knew the other mage was prone to attacking first, so he was quick to deflect the attack with another projectile, Blue tried to sneakily move closer and closer to the other mage as he kept trying his best to dodge and respond his attacks, he was lucky Red was impulsive and didn't figure out the others plan.
The Red mage kept shouting attacks aimlessly, being the target of some of Blue's spells in the process, "Slow" made Red act as the name, so he couldn't react in time before Blue pounced him, cornering him against the floor before the spell wore off.
"GH- GET OFF OF ME YOU DISGUSTING PIG!" the Red mage shouted, being overpowered in physical strength by the Blue one, who was not amused at all by his comments, but tried not to give him a reaction.
"I am aware of what your plans are, you will not get near the kingdoms perimeter this time" Blue spoke whilst putting all his weight onto the others extremities, making sure he wouldn't get away; "this time i caught you before reaching Azra's territory" he made a small pause before giving the other a small smirk "and you did not lay a single finger nor spell on me, i remain unharmed, while you are on the floor like the dirt you are" Blue mentioned, satisfied with his job.
The Red mages body was shaking trying to break free, Blue could see his expression change in real time after being teased, his pupils turned even smaller and he could swear he heard him growl from pure rage "DIRT?! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S DIRT AFTER I'M FINISHED WITH Y-" Reds mad rambling was interrupted by the other, who couldn't help but break into laughter, he couldn't take the threats of someone who was pinned down on the floor within minutes seriously.
Blue almost let go of Red being distracted with his laughter, which was abruptly interrupted by Red spitting on his face.
"DON'T LAUGH AT ME YOU PIECE OF SHIT" Red squirmed trying to break free, not breaking eye contact with Blue, who had stopped laughing and glared at the other mage, getting closer to him "If i were not such a good person i would end your pathetic existence right now". The red mage smirked this time "Oh yeah? go on and kill me right now, i know you want to"
Blue was annoyed at the others request, he couldn't kill him just yet, there was some information he needed to know and his job would be incredibly boring without beating up someone every once in a while.
"I can not do that as much as i would like to" Blue looked to the side, as if ashamed of his response.
"I knew it, you're a fucking coward, come on, DO IT" Red moved his head in closer yelling at Blue as if he weren't in front of him.
"I am not a c.....coward..." Blue's sentence was interrupted after turning his head back and feeling the rim of their hats rub together, a signal both of them were way *too* close, even Red himself looked surprised and taken aback, but he didn't move, he just kept making eye contact with Blue.
Both of them looked into each others eyes, not even blinking, both of them were frozen by something as innocent as the distance between them. Blue unconsciously let go of Red but he did not move from his place, they just continued staring at each other, before it happened, both at the same time pulled in closer and locked lips for a second, that second was enough to awaken something buried deep between both of them, they didn't know was there.
Blue was shocked, his eyes were wide open and a deep blue blush quickly appeared on his face.
Red was somehow even more shocked, his eyes were wide open but his face was almost completely red, he reached for his lips and touched them, still in disbelief for what just happened.
("This....This is really bad...") Blue thought to himself staring down at the other, his enemy? he wasn't so sure about that now.
Red was still completely speechless, it's like any thought that tried to surface was immediately shot on sight, his mind was just completely blank and he had no clue on what to think about what just happened.
Blue pushed himself back away from Red, not breaking eye contact, why did he do that?? why did HE do that??? he was so confused about the whole thing, should he pretend it didn't happen? should he say something about it? how would the KING react if he found out about this?
None of these answers could be answered before Red sprung up and ran away, presumably back into his cave.
Red ran away as fast as he could, covering his mouth, his face completely red.
He made it back into his cave and immediately set up a fake wall to hide it, he just sat down on the floor almost collapsing before finally allowing himself to think about what just happened
"WHAT THE FUCK" Red shouted out loud while grabbing the brim of his hat tightly, he was in complete and utter disbelief of what had just happened
"WHY DID I DO THAT, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME"
He got up and started pacing around the cave talking to himself
"WHY DID HE DO IT TOO?!"
He hid his face in his hat in shame
"Why him of all people?...."
Red still couldn't believe not only he but Blue both reached in for a kiss at the same time, he couldn't believe he kissed another guy, he couldn't believe he kissed the guy he swore to kill, and worst of all, give him his first kiss.

After watching his....enemy.... run away, Blue sat down in silence for a few seconds before getting up and dusting himself off, he'd come to the conclusion that he would be better off pretending nothing of this happened, and of course, not even think about telling anyone in the castle, or else he would not only be fired but executed for betrayal.
He walked around in the forest thinking to himself, how did something like this even happen? sure, he wasn't opposed to kissing anyone but...his enemy? public enemy number one??
maybe it was the tension, maybe they just got way too close on accident? he couldn't find a satisfactory answer.
He could just shove this aside and pretend nothing happened, but Red ran away without a word, Blue was admittedly anxious on what his reaction would even be, what if he wanted to kill him even more now?
what if this somehow meant his attacks would be more frequent?.....but, what if...*he liked it?*
This question lingered on Blue's mind way more than it should've, ***what if he liked it?*** how silly, there's no way Red would've liked lt, neither Blue...right?
Blue spent what felt like hours walking in circles in the forest, his footsteps having created a path already, his mind still lingering around the same question, and running circles around the fact that, embarrassingly, he did like it.
He enjoyed that kiss, the image would not leave his mind, how close he got to Red, how embarrassed and dumbfounded he looked, the soft texture of his lips, the unusual gentleness of the kiss for someone known for being aggressive, it was all so fascinating to him, it almost made him wish it happened again, and again, and again...a small desire growing rapidly.
But as much as he liked it, he wasn't certain Red felt the same about it, he was just assuming on his next fight Red would pretend nothing happened or he would put all the blame on him and call him a weirdo or even worse. So he just gave up on the idea of kissing him again, it was for the better anyways.
